“Kolodishchanets has created an unusual gallery in an agricultural town. Her concept will surprise you”

“What is the first thing that comes to mind when mentioning the agro-town of Kolodishchi? High fences and huge houses! Here, as in many localities, there is a lack of friendship and communication between neighbors, because many can live next to each other for 10 years, but still not find out who and what they do. Such a time, what can I say. But there are people among us who remove all boundaries and show by their example that sometimes you need to be more open.
Minskaya Street in the agro-town changed just a couple of weeks ago. Now you can find dozens of people chatting around one house in the evenings. And the reason for that was the Aquarium. And yes, it’s not about the fish here!
Arthur and his wife have been living in Kolodishchi for about 17 years. Once, a fence painted with various paintings attracted attention to their house, but now only gray concrete and barely noticeable traces of paint remain from it.
– It was not only us who painted here, but also friends and neighbors.… But now we have another creative madness,” says Kolodishchanets. – One December morning, I woke up with the idea of a project! The first thing I did was share my thoughts with my family, of course.
And off it went… Arthur is not one of those who only comes up with ideas, but always brings everything he has planned to life. Already today, when they come to the family plot, many are speechless. And yes, we were no exception.
Imagine a large Aquarium: twice as tall as you are, and 6 meters wide. This is exactly the kind of structure that appeared at the very beginning of the family plot. However, it’s not fish that live here, but art. Through the glass, you can see the gallery, in which, in addition to the paintings of Arthur’s wife, there are chairs, a table, a fireplace and an easel. And in the evenings, you can find people inside the aquarium.
– Our whole life is a performance! This is where parallel worlds meet, which are delimited by glass. The most important thing is that with this project we show people that it is possible and necessary to be open,” the source notes.
At the same time, you do not need to be afraid to approach an unusual gallery.
Arthur thought of everything down to the smallest detail, that’s why he made a special viewing platform near the Aquarium. Now the performance is both inside and in front of the unusual structure.
– I have not received any negative reactions to the project yet. And it can’t be like that, because when it’s really beautiful, it amazes everyone! – says Arthur.
By the way, when asked how he came up with such an idea, Kolodishchanets replies: “There is no need to explain it. In order to understand a person, you need to live his life. Only then will you understand it, but otherwise you will get some glimpses or snatches…”
The time when the aquarium becomes magical is earlier in the morning
According to the creator of the project, there are two periods when a place comes to life and plays with different colors. Every day at 4.30 am, Arthur comes to the aquarium for one important mission – to change the painting on the easel.
– But the ones that are hanging, I will change them once a month. There are currently 5 paintings, but this does not mean that this particular number will be saved. Maybe next month there will be 3 wife jobs, and then 10 … Everything will be decided and done in one moment, and that’s the highlight,” the source explains.
By the way, so far not a single soul has caught this magical time. It’s the same as watching a dollhouse come to life at night, or watching a baker put everything on display just before the bakery opens.
– I have not seen any analogues anywhere. Maybe there is something like this in the world, but we don’t know about it,” Arthur notes. – But once again, the magic of this place can be seen in the evenings. As soon as the sun goes out and the warm light turns on here, the magic of madness begins.
And that’s when passersby see the life inside the aquarium. How a family spends an evening chatting about art and life over a cup of tea. And every detail complements the picture, making it even more fascinating.
What’s left to do?
Let’s just say that the aquarium itself is already 100% ready. It remains for Arthur to transform the fence.
– Now we are preparing the fence for work: we are washing it in order to apply new paintings. Years later, we are reviving what we had more than 10 years ago. And now, through the prism of the past and a new way of looking at life, something completely new will appear! – says kolodishchanets. – And if earlier many acquaintances could leave their mark on the fence, now we won’t let anyone in! Only our family will be here. That is, each of us has the right to draw, to leave something new. We’ll see for ourselves how the drawing has changed after 17 years.
