The triptych “Birth”
Paper, acrylic, oil, 3 X 30×130, 2022
“Everyone knows their vocation from birth. Over time, many people forget about this and live “not their own lives” – this makes people unhappy. You can only find your own business and truly be successful by getting to know yourself. During the creation of the “Birth” series of works, Lora drew in a childish way: easily, freely, boldly, without thinking about the result or evaluating it, enjoying the process itself. She glossed over the results of her “childish” creativity. To answer the question “Who am I?” Artist Lora Pavlova suggests feeling like a newborn and trying to remove the veil of experience, knowledge, frames, and prejudices inherent in an adult.”

The triptych “Death”
Paper, acrylic, oil, 3 X 60×130, 2022
“Are you afraid of death? People who have forgotten or ignore their vocation are unhappy and more afraid of dying than those who live “their lives.” A person doing “his own thing” does not have the feeling that he disappears without a trace. On the contrary, he feels satisfied and fulfilled by the quality of his life, which gives him confidence that he has done what he should have done in life.”
The exhibition “Depth”
“Artists are different from each other, just like all people. They are interested in various topics that they cover in different visual languages. In the 21st century, the world expects from the author his unique vision, innovative thinking, and fresh ideas. What unites artists among themselves, what is the quality of personality? How do I find a unique author’s vision, find my voice in the art world?
The answer to these questions is depth. True artists are united by the depth of their penetration into the chosen topic: the continuous exploration of themselves and the world around them, honesty with themselves and the need for self-expression. The author is alive while he is searching!
On the artist’s path to finding his themes and visual language, a deep interest in his inner world can become a beacon. In contrast to artists from each other as individuals, the motive power of individuality is hidden. The author’s task is to express himself, to create works that reflect only his vision.
This exhibition presents the works of very different authors, who are united by the desire for deep self-knowledge. Each of them has its own theme and artistic language. We invite you to experience the diversity of the authors and their art.
“Depth” is an exhibition of modern Belarusian authors united by the desire for deep self—knowledge. The exhibition features works by 10 authors working in various media: graphics, paintings, textile sculptures, art objects.”
The exhibition will be held in the Avenue_eventspace (Kiseleva 3) from October 11 to 17. We have prepared a rich program of events, stay tuned for the announcements!
